Goblin Slayer Vol 6 light novel Goblin Slayer Light Novel Kumo Kagyu Noboru Kannatuki 9781975327842 Books Reviews

  • I hope the anime brings more eyes to this light novel series. I'm surprised at how the author is able to crank out so many great volumes in a short period of time without the losing quality.

In this volume we get to understand the relationships of each of the characters and how they have changed.

Priestess and Goblin Slayer takes on more responsibility. We see GS evolve and Priestess start to find her own way. I like how we get to see Goblin Slayer better understand himself and face conflicting thoughts. In one moment he wasn't able land a fatal blow on a goblin because his mind was focusing on a certain someone.

I'm looking forward to the next volume and the progression of this series.
  • The wizard was so obnoxious, rude, and seems always mad all the time. But, by the end of the book, after what he witnessed and gone through, he mellowed out a bit. Once Priestess mentioned that he's similar to someone she known, and I went "ohhhhhhhh." That’s interesting.

I felt this book is mostly Priestess focus, about her growth as an adventurer. I really loved all her parts taking a leadership role, looking back at her past year, her promotion. One disappointing thing is that she never told the Wizard Boy about her first party.

Also minor reflection how the past year changed our Goblin Slayer.

It was good for the most part. I want a book to focus on the Rhea girl, she's so likable.
  • As much as I enjoy our primary protagonist and his exploits in the field of goblin slaying, I did find the focus on Priestess and her own character development welcome and appreciated. A shift to the focus on less experienced adventurers and how they approach their own challenges provides greater depth to the world we find ourselves in. The introduction of another character with ties to the beginnings of the series is a subtle reminder that the world of Goblin Slayer doesn't actually revolved around him.
  • This is probably one of my favorite anime/manga/LN series out there right now, and its great how consistent the quality has been considering the frequency of the releases. However, they do feel a little on the short side. I spent 8 buck on it, pretty pricey for an ebook (by my standards anyway), and I read it within a few hours. This price would be understandable for a physical copy, but ebooks cost essentially nothing. This excessive price for ebooks seems to be pretty consistent for LN. Its not much for a single novel, but these series typically have a lot of entries in them, and that 8 bucks adds up. If publishers ever wonder why people pirate their stuff, its because of extortionist pricing like this.
  • Another enjoyable read. It's a nice volume where a more than one character is dealing with a promotion of sorts. The combat's always satisfying to read and tabletop reference gives me a smirk more often than I'd like to admit.
Always a pleasure to see this setting and characters grow.
Looking forward to the next volume.
  • Volume 6 of Goblin Slayer is a lighter story much like the harvest festival. It made for a good read and was well worth the wait. I'm looking forward to the next volume!
  • The trouble is I'm broke from buying all the various versions of this truly enjoyable story. Keep up the great characters and story
  • Pages 155-186 were upside-down which scared me for a bit thinking that they were missing. I just had to flip the book over for a little while.
